Design, Logos, and Internet CommerceAs the world continues to become more interconnected, the internet has emerged as the newest and most powerful tool of humanity. Every day more and more people turn to the digital world as the outlet for expressing their passions. The online domain is now a social hub where ideas, art, and goods are exchanged at higher volume and frequency than ever before. With so many individuals logging on to the web on a daily basis, it is no surprise that companies have also taken to cyberspace to market their products to arguably the largest pool of potential customers in the world. With a constant barrage of stimulus bombarding the newsfeeds and search engines of web users, companies have to find new ways of capturing the attention spans of millions of potential buyers. One of the simplest, but possibly most effective ways that this can be achieved is the use of an easily identifiable and well-constructed logo in internet advertisement. If proper attention is paid to the artistic design of a companys logo, a symbol can be created that is powerful enough to shine through chaos of internet traffic and draw new and repeat customers to the brand.A companys logo is more than just a picture on a package. It is a tool of association that draws an image of a company in a consumers head. A logo should be easily recognizable and, if possible, reveal aspects of the companys mission and ethos. If one observes the logos of the most successful organizations it is clear to see that simplicity is key.
