Product Management Outdoor Sporting Products has some things it could improve on when looking at its current setting. When going to the companys website (Outdoorsportingproducts.com) the first thing that one notices is the pictures and prices of ammunition. This is a subject that should raise concern for the company in the current political climate. Legislation seeking to limit and ban fire arms has been circulated heavily within the last two years (Gunowners.org). Having this type of material advertised on the home page opens the company up for potential scrutiny. It is also likely that this will alienate the sportsman of the political left wing.This can be fixed by making the companys home page more diverse pertaining to the products advertised. Instead of only posting ads for ammunition it could include products that are evenly between it fishing, hunting, and accessories. It could also add links to expand adds for any specific item streamed on the home page so that those who wanted to go to certain areas of the site could do so more easily. This will help to generate interest in a wider range of products, as well as give the Outdoor Sporting Products a more positive image.Another region where there is room for improvement is helping consumers become more interested in the companys diverse range of products. Outdoor Sporting Products is invested in fishing, hunting, and accessories for those activities since that is what the customers have been mostly interested in. Since Mr. McDonald feels that the potential for expansion is without limit though the company could employ specific marketing aspects to help generate interest in other areas.
