The Differences between Marketing Teams and Sales Departments, and the Importance of Both for the Success of a Business Essay

According to the articles, marketing deals with advertising towards the consumers. Marketing is based on the dealing with the consumers needs and wants. They are the ones that organize what needs to be put out on the shelf of each business. They decide what to sell. According to Forbes, they are also the ones who does the one-way communication and their methods, like advertising, will always be changing. Research is needed to correctly motivate the right group of people to buy. Marketing will be over a time and focus on the future because how consumer changes. They are looking into their customers and analyze what is important to them to sell towards their needs. They must be trained on how the customers will react towards the pricing and usage to the product and need to make decisions that will maximize the profits. It would seem that the customer to buyer relationship wouldnt be as strong because its not a face to face meet up. The marketing team still wishes to see the satisfaction of the customers in order to shoot up in the sales, but they will focus more on the products rather than actual interaction. They will need to the planning and the presentation of the product as well manage how well the product is developed based on the budget that is given. Sales department, however sells items or products in a two-way communication this means that they will actually physically communicate and reciprocate. They will depend on the physical service for the customers. Sales depend on selling what is put on the shelf by the marketers. Negotiating and direct communications are a must. Sales will be sold right away. Seller needs to have quick reactions to what is happening at hand. They need to propose ideas and learn how to be smooth.
