Executive Summary The St Francis by Westin is located right on Union Square in San Francisco. After 250 rooms were destroyed during the 1906 earthquake the St. Francis was rebuilt to be one of the largest hotels in San Francisco with having 1,196 standard rooms and 59 suites it has well over 1,200 rooms. The St. Francis is owned by Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide and cost around 2.5 million dollars in 1904 when it was originally purchased (St. Francis, 2015). This hotel has four restaurants inside including, Michael Mina Restaurant, The Oak Room Restaurant, Carusos, and Clock Bar. There is also an onsite spa as well as in room spa services. This property also has a fitness center, a kids club as well as a smoke-free environment. The human resources department has reached a number of 2015 goals with the exception of the employee training process. To improve this next year the main goals will be to improve the training process as well as the training instructor. As well as to improve with efficiency with employees to make sure tasks are being completed in a timely orderly manner, and not only are they timely but they are correct.
