Current Problems Faced by Sparks and Crash CompanyThroughout our engagement with the client, we have encountered a number ofproblems. In summary, these problems are as followsWorkers, particularly the skilled assembly workers and the engineers, haveexperienced productivity issues. Largely, these issues surrounddifficulties communicating, cultural misunderstandings, motivation, biaseddecision-making, and group management.Lastly, and most pressing, is the executive leadership displayed by Mr.Burney Sparks. He has experienced a significant detriment to his confidenceand exhibited difficulties in navigating an important business deal. Wefind this set of problems to be the most critical because the personrequiring the intervention can only enact the interventions that are mostlikely to be effective.Only being able to be enacted by Mr. Sparks himself, persuasion techniquesdiscussed by Petty, et al. (1997) and Cialdini (1995), along with theexecutive coaching methods outlined by Wood (1989) and Higgins (1987)create a conflict of interest regarding our prescribed interventions.Recommendations for Long-Term StabilityIn recognizing that it is important to keep the firm stable, we propose thefollowing long-term changesRegarding the executive leadership at Sparks and Crash Co, we recommend thefollowing action be taken o Continue to work with Mr. Sparks, and other executives, regarding business etiquette - particularly regarding the principles used in persuasion, decision-making, and negotiation o The most effective method to implement this would be through executive coaching on a regular basis and regular, subsequent, follow-upsAs for maintaining worker productivity, we suggest o Maintaining training programs for assembly skill development, knowledge acquisition and learning concepts, and leadership o Institute regular meetings between work groups to establish goals and to discuss any problems within and between groups o Clearly display goals...
