Operators also suffer from new services such as over-the-top services with a result of revenue decrease and smaller customer base. Due to mass adoption of those new services by consumers, data revenue stream become a new opportunity for carriers. The study examines the potential globalization strategy of Rogers Telecommunication Inc. and how it can establish advantages over competitors in a global market by teaming up with its complement supplier Spotify, a over the top service provider in music streaming industry. The sources referred to in this essay include news reports, companys annual report, independent research from recognized institutions, online statistics portal and academic journals. Rogers will capture competitive advantages from collaborating with Spotify, including expanding customer base and brand recognition. Following the analysis of partnership, some recommendations for Rogers further improvements will also be presented.
