IntroductionThe societal heroic values and ideals based on two epic heroesBasically, an epic hero could refer to the central figure on which the story revolves around hence, elaborating on the heroic values and character traits of given individuals within the society. The authors critically analyze the specific traits of various persons who could be possessing unique characters, which enable the society to learn on the possible strengthens and weaknesses of humanity especially based on natural aspects. The Odyssey is a narrative about an epic hero who is trying to get back home after a period of twenty years away from his home while Beowulf is all about the warrior who kills the monsters and saved the city from the great suffering. For instance, the Beowulf and Odyssey are the kind of two major characters employed in two different stories to bring out the concept of heroicism within our societies (Brodeur 80). Based on the comparison and contrast concept, the following differences and similarities can be deduced.Obviously, the two stories revolve around the epic heroes who strain to cherish and champion the well-being of their societies. For exampleMuch of Beowulf is devoted to articulating and illustrating the Germanic heroic code, which values strength, courage, and loyalty in warriors hospitality, generosity, and political skill in kings ceremoniousness in women and good reputation in all people...Odysseus is on a journey back home to reunite with his family after a fierce way engagement in troy for almost ten good years. He really feels humbled to be back to once again embark on a serious mission of improving his family affairs and the entire society at large. On the other hand, Beowulf is on his journey to ensure the Grandel monster is perished after a great communal suffering of more than twelve years.
