An Analysis of the Important of Drinking Milk Essay

NATURAL THE BEST Most people think its especially important to drink milk when you are a kid. Thats for sure. But also its very important to know what type of milk you should drink. Almost every American drinks Homogenized milk, in research that I have done, I found that Homogenized milk is considered the number one cause of heart disease in the United State according to Dr. Kurt.(Milk1) The Homogenized milk is extracted from cows that are kept producing milk with the help of hormones, pesticides, antibiotics and different kinds of ingredients. Dairy milk is produced with the help of recombinant bovine growth hormone (rBGH), a genetically engineered version of a growth Hormone extracted from cows pituitary glands that greatly increases milk production as much as 15 to 25 percent. According to, Mothering Cows milk is for everyone? This is good for the farmers but bad for the drugged cows, which are more prone to infections when under the drug. We dont know yet if milk from cows treated with rBGH is good for people, but surely wont be any better than is it now. Do we really need more milk production when there already is a surplus? For a while, Everyone forgot about rBGH, even though most American, when polled in 1996, they considered dangerous, says Ronnie Cummins. A study revealing that 74 of the American public considered the recombinant hormone a Hazard and 94 percent favored mandatory labeling. Nowadays people have started to drink organic milk more frequently for different reason. Cows that produce Organic milk are not treated with antibiotics or added hormones and none of the controversial, genetically engineered rBGH.
